To arrange a prescription please use the online service, if you are registered, or complete a prescription request form at reception. Please note: we cannot take prescription requests via telephone but requests are accepted via post (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope), online, via email or in person.
- Repeat prescriptions: patients on regular medication should bring their repeat medication list to Flixton Road Medical Centre or email scripts.frmc@nhs.netPlease note: patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
- Using a pharmacy: patients may have a regular arrangement with their pharmacy and should place their request with the pharmacy at least a week in advance to allow it to be processed. Please indicate the pharmacy name on your request if you prefer your prescription to be collected.
- Hospital prescriptions: hospitals will provide you with a written prescription advice sheet if you require new medication and this should be brought to Flixton Road Medical Centre or sent via email enable any new medication to be added.
Collecting prescriptions
please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed. Due to the high volume of prescriptions we are unable to contact patients to let them know their prescription is ready for collection. Please note: your prescription can also be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice, collected from reception during opening hours, collected by a pharmacy of your choice or posted (if you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope).
NHS prescription charges

- Prescription (per item): £9.35
- 12-month Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC): £108.10
- 3-month PPC: £30.25
