A new, efficient phone process providing patients with a ‘GP telephone appointment’ to discuss healthcare issues, rather than journeying to Flixton Road Medical Centre for a face-to-face appointment, is already proving popular with patients.
Patients phoning our practice numbers – 0161 748 2021 / 0161 747 2411 – for a GP appointment are now asked to leave their contact details and are given a time within a two hour window when a doctor will telephone them to discuss their health.
Patients are advised that they will receive a GP telephone appointment to avoid them having to make a journey to Flixton Road Medical Centre to see their doctor. However, when discussing the patient’s health condition, if the GP feels a face-to-face appointment is required, they will book an agreed appointment time with the patient for the same day or the following day.
The new system is already proving popular with patients. Rather than struggling to book an appointment during peak times, patients are able to more quickly speak to their GP regarding their health concerns. The telephone appointment system also saves the majority of patients a potential journey to Flixton Road Medical Centre.
