Getting your test results
All test results are reviewed by a GP who will write to patients with the results of any x-ray, test, or blood test where further action is required. Please note that due to the high volume of test results we receive, we do not contact patients where blood test results are normal.
When you attend for a test you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. We have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and will only provide results to the person they relate to (unless prior permission has been provided by that person or the patient is in capable of understanding them).
It is your responsibility to check your test results and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- On the NHS App (for instructions on how to view your results, click here)
- Within Patient Access
Or if you would prefer you can:
- Call the practice on 0161 748 2021 after 2pm
- visit us between 10am to 4pm
Non-urgent advice: Will I be contacted regarding my test results?
If your test results are normal, we won’t contact you directly, but you will be informed of the results at your next appointment.
