Different Stalls at Carers Rights Day

Here are some of the different exciting and informative stalls we have this year:
- Scope Energy Advisors: Offering energy advice and support for disabled families and individuals; we use the social model of disability so anyone presenting with barriers to comfortable living is welcomed for a chat.*Priority Service Register sign ups*Free CO Alarms*Energy efficiency advice and signposting*Energy debt management and support*Tariff switching and advice*Support with water debt*IE Hub for income maximising*Referral into other services offered by Scope
- Alzheimer’s Society: Dementia Support service provides people with dementia and/or their family carers with information and practical support to understand more about their dementia and support to live well following diagnosis. The stand will have a range of factsheets and guides and opportunity to talk over options with a Dementia Adviser from Trafford and from Team Sahara who support South Asian communities.
- The Counselling and Family Centre (CFC) is a local charity with a long-standing commitment to supporting the emotional wellbeing of individuals and families in our community. We offer a wide range of accessible services, including low-cost counselling for adults, children and young people, parenting workshops, wellbeing activities, professional training for counsellors and allied professionals, and school-based mental health support.
- Trafford Community Learning Disability Team- The Trafford CLDT stall will raise awareness of the specialist multi-disciplinary support that is available within the community for individuals with a learning disability. The team offer support with transition from children to adult health services, health facilitation/ health promotion, support with complex physical/ mental health and behavioural issues. Advice and assessment on independent living skills and engagement in activities, communication, support with physical conditions, advice on emotional difficulties including anxiety, anger, bereavement and relationships.
- Trafford Leisure CIC- Our purpose “to help people move more everyday” sits at heart of everything we do. From reducing inactivity to improving wellbeing, we know that small steps can lead to life-changing outcomes.
