Free bus travel for those with concessionary travel pass.

New plans have been announced to improve public transport as part of the launch of the Greater Manchester Strategy (GMS).

Alongside half price bus travel for young people aged 18-21 years, people with a concessionary travel pass (disabled or older people) will benefit from free round-the-clock bus travel in August with the 9.30am restriction lifted as part of a new pilot.

Currently those with a TfGM-issued concessionary travel pass can travel for free between 9.30am and midnight during the week and all day on weekends and public holidays. In August, those with a pass can travel for free any time, including before 9.30am, which will benefit those who travel for work or attend early hospital appointments.
