Winter Hearts Programme in Altrincham

Community services have come together to provide support sessions on Mondays for people over 50. Find out what support is available to you, engage in free activities and meet new friends.

What is it?

The vision is to create a space for older people at the CFC cafe, will enable the bringing together of community/public partners to deliver education and community-based support on a weekly basis, helping older people manage/improve their physical and mental wellbeing and reduce social isolation, developing solutions that connects people to communities.

Where is it?

The Counselling and Family Centre, 40 Mayors Rd, Altrincham WA15 9RP.

When is it?

Every Monday from 10am-3:30pm.

What can you get there?

  • A weekly 2 hour session of support for the older people seeking in a safe and welcoming environment led by a CFC Qualified Counsellor/Group worker. (10am-12pm)
  • A social prescriber for Altrincham Health Alliance Primary Care Network. They support older people to access social activities, health education, medical, lifestyle and other community-based support. (Every other week)
  • Digital support for Carers. (12pm-1pm)
  • String of Hearts music sessions for Carers. (2:30pm-3:30pm)
  • Trafford Carers Nurse is also there, but runs on appointment only.
